Join Capt. Davidson for this late cruise on glass-like water as you circle St. George Island, Government Cut and Little St. George Island soaking in the last rays of light as the brightness of day turns into night’s haze.
The photo op will come quickly and sink softly over Apalachicola Bay but as you lose its blistering blaze and the sunlight settles, you gain the mystical glowing of shrimp boats loosening reins on nets, ready to head out to sea.

The Sunset Cruise is provided upon availability as a 3-hour, including dolphin watching & shelling at 2-3 barrier island locations. Get out cameras and be ready to crane your necks on this outing across Apalachicola Bay!
Chances are you will enjoy dolphins and calves at the mouth of the Apalachicola River, seagulls feeding on bait fish and see shrimp boats returning to shore through Government Cut. Plus, crabbers are starting their days collecting trap treasure, flanked by packs of pelicans.
This trip features Little St. George & St. Vincent Island, and some surprise historical sites. Along the way, you will make a stop at a the historic Marshall house with a chance to view a few baby alligators.
Photographing during this time of day is wonderfully tranquil and provides an ambience only found at this hour. Gliding out gracefully on a boat is the best way to encounter a sunset’s escalating glow and snap pictures as a new day races over the horizon.

We had a fun sunset cruise that was cut short by weather but Capt. Davidson still made it interesting with facts about the area and we saw several dolphins and learned about the habitat of the island and the bay. My husband and daughter’s boyfriend went on the morning fishing trip with Captain Davidson and had a great experience and caught several fish that we had for dinner that night.

We had an incredible time on the sunset tour. We were blown away by all the wildlife we encountered and just how peaceful the bay was. Highlights included an alligator swimming by near the marina, countless dolphins playing in the wake behind the boat, a shark swimming on the surface of the bay and a beautiful sunset over the glass-like bay. We will definitely go out on the waters with Southern Salinity again our next time in the area!

We were looking for a sunset cruise before leaving St. George Island and found Captain Jeremy and great 5 star reviews. Called on a Friday hoping for a Saturday cruise and Captain was able to put it together! Short notice but wow (!) he pulled it off! We met at the marina, climbed on board and off we went. The weather was perfect, our 3 year old granddaughter took a shine to Captain Jeremy right away and even went "up top" to sit with him while he steered! Jeremy was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and he got us to where we needed to be for a fabulous sunset. If you're in the area, give Captain Jeremy a call and see if he has an opening. He does fishing trips, afternoon cruises and sunset cruises. Check him out, you'll love it!
